FAQ's About The Ram And Carolina Hog Hunts
How many animals am I allowed to harvest? Only one animal may be harvested in this hunt. Either a Ram or a Carolina Hog. Additional animals may be harvested by purchasing additional slots.
How many arrows am I allowed to carry during the hunt? While other Jamborees may limit the amount of arrows you can carry, we do not. We only limit the number of animals that you can harvest, which is one (1), unless additional slots are purchased. As we do guarantee a 100% success rate, we do not allow the unlimited harvesting that many of our competitors do which sends many hunters home empty handed.
Can I be guaranteed a Carolina Hog if that is what I am really after? No. We provide a percentage of hogs for the hunt and the balance is made up of nice, mountable rams. You are guaranteed one or the other, but we cannot guarantee you will get a hog. While we try our best to get our hunters who have a preference on the type of animal they are after, once all of the hogs are gone you will have to harvest a ram.
Am I allowed to use a crossbow? Yes. Anything that shoots an arrow may be used in this Jamboree.
When do I need to pay my deposit? Deposits are due at the time of booking. As slots are limited during the Jamborees we must have the slot secured by a deposit to hold your place. Reservations made that we do not receive a deposit for will remain as an open slot until the deposit is received.
What is the policy on alcohol on the premise? We have one very hard and fast rule concerning alcohol, we do not drink and hunt. If you come in for lunch and consume any alcohol your hunt is over for the day. After you are done hunting, you are free to enjoy yourself and indulge as you wish, but after consuming alcohol you cannot return to the preserve for any reason, even to accompany a friend.
